Amy Cremmins, PT
Amy began work in adult neurorehabilitation in 1991. After several years, she incorporated pediatric home care into her repertoire.
Amy's interest in hippotherapy began in college, where she completed an independent study in Hippotherapy for a senior project in PT school. She received an award of excellence for this study, intensifying her interest.
In 1996, she moved to Colorado and began volunteering with a Physical Therapist at Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center. In 2001, she took on her first hippo clients and has been building a successful practice ever since. She helps clients from all over the front range with a variety of special needs and ages spanning from 2 ½-80 years!
She has an intense desire to open wide the gates of progress for each individual and hopes to challenge each client and their family to achieve the greatest possible outcomes. Her love of horses has been lifelong, riding from a small child, to competing in hunter/jumper classes in college. She owns 5 horses and loves to work from the ground with them as well as continuing to improve her own equitation skills.
Amy is the mother of 3 small children. She loves kids, animals, anything out of doors, singing and playing the piano. She sings with Resonance, the Women’s Chorus of Boulder. She is a member of APTA, NARHA (is a certified NARHA instructor), and AHA.
In July, 2006, Amy decided to bring her intense love of physical therapy practice and horses together and established Front Range Hippotherapy. FRH is an 8-acre farm located off of Hwy 36 in N. Boulder. It is the home of Amy’s family and animal friends. These include 5 horse partners, 2 Cats, a dog, a guinea pig and a tiger Salamander.
