I originally became interested in human services when I was growing up, watching my mother who was a case manager and a host home provider for an adult with developmental disabilities. My first job was as a job coach, but I moved through different areas in the field to get a good perspective as to where I fit best.

Over the past 5 years I have worked as an Instructor for the Red Cross, a Classroom Assistant for a school specializing in Autism, a Coordinator in a group home, and now I am an Employment Access Coordinator for a vocational program.  I am also currently volunteering for a Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic and the wonderful Front Range Hippotherapy.

I am originally from Connecticut and when I moved to Colorado in October of 2009, I wanted to find a way to integrate Colorado’s beauty with my experience working with people living with disabilities.  Luckily I found Front Range Hippotherapy, which was not only beautiful but was also full of people with great values and fun character.  Front Range Hippotherapy has some how managed to make things even as undesirable as mucking stalls, a relaxing and sometimes funny chore.  Currently I volunteer every Saturday and look forward to it as if its a day off from work.
